I was a bit worried that I might be stuck in Tourist Central in Tenerife, my idea of hell - but I managed to stay away from the coast, and headed for the hills!
My first night was spend at Parador de Canadas del Teide, high up on the sides of Mt Teide - so high that I was well above the clouds, and got some great shots of the Volcano, and some great views of the stars and the Milky Way.
I took the cable car upto the summit of the volcano, where the temperature had dropped so much that there were icicles on a step ladder that had been left out overnight!
The rest of my stay was in the lovely B&B called La Rosa Del Teide, run by two fantastic ladies - I don't speak much Spanish, but luckily they spoke some English!
